Event Research International (ERi) aims:
• through the Responsible Events Initiative to transform the event sector into a sector significantly contributing to sustainable development.
• to provide event intelligence through event research and evaluation services.
The Responsible Events initiative aims to:
• enable event stakeholders to contribute to local sustainable development across "the triple bottom line" representing the economy, socio-culture and environment.
• enable event stakeholders to directly benefit from their responsibility efforts and investments.
The initiative is specifically based on two components:
The Responsible Events Toolkit providing a practical ‘step-by-step’ process for events which wants to contribute and demonstrate their contribution to local sustainable development. Moreover, the toolkit enables comparison of events across typologies, size and location.
The Community of Best Practice forming an inclusive network of event, community and development stakeholders supporting and benefitting from the Responsible Events initiative.
